Upcoming work sci-fi comic

I'm currently finishing a preview for a 3 issue sci-fi comic planned for late 2017.

Its written by Anthony Falcone (Northguard from Chapterhouse comics) and more about him can be found at his website

Anthony is a studio mate of mine at RAID Studio, and a very good writer- heck he even does novels!

Here are some rough pages...

Fan Expo 2016

Once again I'll be at Fan Expo Canada in artist alley. This year the show runs from Sept 1st-4th

I'm not sure where yet, but I'll be sure to notify about my spot via my twitter and Instagram closer to the show.

See you there!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This was a spec cover for IDW's book (which is awesome BTW!) but they passed on it.

Line work by me, and colors by Ronda Pattison.

Spider Gwen swinging around!

Just because... Spider Gwen is fun to draw and has a cool costume.

Colors by Sean 'Aussie' Ellery, and linework by yours truly.

Oh, and in case you didn't know, I've recently got on Instagram and am posting art up there. Follow me at Gibson_Quarter

Chapterhouse Archives #3 Captain Canuck !

My next published work is going to be in Chapterhouse Archives #3 featuring Captain Canuck

Solicitation on this one reads:

Introducing Chapterhouse Archives, an ongoing monthly series that reprints all of the essentials in the Chapterhouse catalogue. All Archive issues feature an all new cover and five page back story by some of comicdoms brightest and best! “The Canadian Connection” sees the RCMP appear, the first appearance of Heather and Canuck injured. Story and art by Richard Comely and second professional comic art by George Freeman. Featuring cover art by Hugh Rockwood and an all-new 5 page back story (that takes place between Captain Canuck #3 and 4)

Yep, I'm doing the backup on this one and had a great time drawing my childhood hero. Its a thrill for me to be able to contribute to the 'director's cut' of these classic comics.

It's out in June, so look for it at your local comic shop!

Calgary 2016 Expo and Art Book

I'll be at the Calgary Expo again this year, in artist alley spot S07

I'm also happy to be included in the 2016 art book, to support a worthy charity!

My original art will be donated and available for purchase in the auction at the end of the show. They have asked us to hold of on showing the image until the weekend of the show. So... I'll put the color version (with colors by Greg Harms!) up on my instagram ( Gibson_Quarter ) when I land in Calgary.

This is the best I can do until then!

See you at the show.  ;-)

Undertow 6 cover

I forgot to show the cover in my last post...this is what the cover to the Undertow #6 looks like!
