Deadpool for Calgary! Pencils

This is a little Deadpool image I'm drawing to have a few as a print for folks dropping by Calgary Expo.

I'll be in artist Alley there...not sure where yet. I'll tweet it out when I know.

Wolverine sketch cover for charity

Nick Bradshaw alerted me to a charity to help raise money for a children's ward at a hospital in Halifax. The Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation, to be precise.

I spent many, many hours in the hospital as a kid, and its where I developed my love for comics. Comic books helped get me though some tough times - or at least distracted me from them for a while.

I've sent this original art Wolverine and the X-men #1 'sketch cover' off to be bid on. It's available by connecting with the folks at Strange Adventures.

Tales of the Buddha - Renegade Arts edition by Jon Haward and Alan Grant

Back in the WASTED magazine days, along with 'War on Drugs' there was another  re-occurring strip in every issue. It was written Alan Grant and wonderfully illustrated by Jon Haward. It was:  TALES OF THE BUDDHA

I'm happy to report that these strips are FINALLY being collected in one volume by Renegade Entertainment ! Now people worldwide can now enjoy them.

Right now its being offered as a digital down load, and a print book is scheduled to follow. I was very happy to contribute a pin up to be included in the "Tales of the Buddha-before he was Enlightened" collection.

As you can see, the Buddha strips were drawn in a VERY different style than the way I draw! That said, this is my take on Buddha, along with Narcobitch from the War on Drugs.

The reviews are great, as are the strips. I should know... I've read them all! Please have a look and don't be shy to purchase this great little digital comic. You can do that right here!

Published work in 2010 - Round up!

2010 was a very good year.

In reflecting on 2010 and doing some fact checking, I was busier than I thought! In total I had 8 comics published this year, work in one art book, and I drew 2 pages of an online web comic. Add to that my trip to Bristol Con, a few Canadian Conventions, bunches of interviews, and that's basically what I've been up to these past 12 months.

My goal now is to make 2011 even better, and I'm working on that as we speak. I've got a number of pages 'in the can' that I'll show and talk about when the books are set to come out. (*Cough, **cough, **Undertow #2!) I'll also be WASTED a few more times this year, and that's always a treat.

A big THANK YOU to all those who have helped and supported me this year. There are too many important people to list individually, but you know who you are.

Happy 2011 everyone!
